In the Märkisch Oderland region in Brandenburg, there are many committed people and initiatives that do important things for a good community. Hof Prädikow associtation wanted to make this visible at OPEN Neuland Märkische Schweiz under the motto “We stick together”. The one-day festival brought together the region’s diverse players: Village associations, new cultural and community projects as well as established institutions within a radius of 30 km. It was about building and expanding partnerships: How can we stay in better touch in the future? How can we work together? What has perhaps prevented us from doing so, so far and what can help us? These and other questions were discussed together. The honorary mayor and member of the Bundestag Simona Koß, the LEADER action group (LAG) Märkische Seen with a regional quiz and stands and actions of more than 20 different associations and initiatives of the region – reading corner, garden action for children, fire department action, first aid demonstration, regional quiz and much more.
