A series of workshops were held to continue the long work already started on the previous capacity building sessions, carried out by the Luiss LabGov team in the previous months. These workshops aimed to involve the local community and understand their needs regarding the establishment of a legal vehicle. This vehicle has the role to assure that the social activities are economically sustainable. In fact, the community was ready to evolve into a new community institution, and the process provided them crucial information for understanding both the challenges and the opportunities presented by different juridical forms. In addition, a business model and a financial plan were drafted for the future “neighborhood cooperative” of the co-district. The creation of a community enterprise thus was considered to be an important opportunity for personal and collective growth, but also a key tool to provide services to the neighborhood in a cooperative way.
