The OpenHeritage team has investigated and mapped adaptive heritage reuse policies in fifteen European countries. Join us for our first OH Dialogue to learn more about these results and discuss the future of heritage reuse policies in Europe!
What are the current regulations regarding heritage reuse? What are the overlaps and differences between reuse policies in various countries? Who are the most relevant actors and decision-makers? And finally, what are the best heritage reuse practices and how can European stakeholders learn from them?
During the first Dialogue we will present an overview of current heritage reuse policies based on the results delivered by the OpenHeritage researchers, and discuss them in the context of urban planning, cultural heritage, participation and sustainability issues. Together with our partners from CLIC and RURITAGE, we will look at the current regulations from both urban and rural perspective and dive deeper into differences between tangible and intangible heritage. Our guests from the European Commission will reflect on current and future actions in the EU, as well as supportive measures regarding heritage reuse.
The OH Dialogues are interactive workshops full of interesting conversations and exchange. We believe that your active participation is necessary for its success.

This Dialogue is a part of the OpenHeritage Dialogue Series which aims to bring relevant stakeholders and multipliers together to discuss key aspects of adaptive heritage policies in Europe, such as stakeholders engagement and governance or financing and economic sustainability. The series consists of three interactive workshops, each co-organised by one of the OH Cooperative Heritage Labs.
